Plain language, no legal theatre. This is what we hold, why we hold it, and how to get it removed.
What we collect
- Creating an identity: name, email, location, discipline, links and anything you choose to add to your profile or portfolio.
- Sending a brief or an opportunity: your name, email, organisation and what you wrote.
- Signals and newsletter: your email address.
- Discovery and uploads: the answers and files you submit for a specific piece of work.
- Usage: basic page and referral counts so we know which pages are useful. No advertising trackers.
What is public and what is not
Only a profile you publish yourself is public, and only once it meets our publishing criteria. Briefs, opportunity submissions, discovery answers, uploads and email addresses are never published.
How we use it
To operate the network: matching people to opportunities, running programmes, replying to briefs, and sending you messages relevant to what you asked for. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link. Essential messages — about something you signed up for or applied to — continue while that involvement is live.
Keeping and removing your data
We keep records for as long as they are useful to the work they belong to. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or full removal at any time by writing to comms@wacpeople.com. Unpublishing your profile hides it immediately.
